While the majority of Americans are struggling to make ends meet, they are being swamped with the unnecessary pressure of paying off student loans. This problem in the richest country shouldn’t be. We must cancel all student debt and take the price tag off of our education.

With our government’s failure to protect the health and well-being of its citizens from corporate greed of private insurers, more Americans are getting sick and dying but still private insurers continue to increase coverage rates making the right to adequate healthcare less affordable and accessible. No person should be denied access to healthcare.
Ensure treatment funding for those residents who may be battling substance abuse disorders.
GUN VIOLENCE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Over 40,000 Americans die from gun violence each year. Across the country we have seen guns get into the hands of people that take the lives of loved ones away and leave our communities forever scarred. Establishments throughout the City of Fort Lauderdale still remain unsecure leaving our local residents and tourists vulnerable. As your mayor, I, with the power invested in me, will do everything to ensure the safety for the people in this city.
Ensure that all educational centers and establishments are equipped with the proper safety measures like improved security and crime prevention technologies
Launch an operation to help take guns off the streets and out of the hands of perpetrators.
CLIMATE CRISIS
Around the globe we are facing a detrimental climate crisis that requires rapid and bold action. Cities and states are already experiencing damaging effects such as extreme heat, devastating floods, wildfires, and droughts. We must act now to reduce our carbon footprint to help preserve life on Earth.
Ensure that the City of Fort Lauderdale has clean air, clean water, and food accessibility.
ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY
Ensuring that our city’s residents are equipped with the resources necessary to build and thrive is key for the city’s overall economic development. We must prioritize and invest in the well-being of our residents, helping them create brighter futures for themselves, their families, and in their community.
Residents throughout the city are experiencing a major housing crisis. With excessively high rent, soaring property insurance rates, and absurdly low wage, our residents are struggling to maintain adequate housing.
Provide rental assistance and housing vouchers to those residents in need, which can help offset the cost of housing making it more affordable for families who are struggling to make ends meet.
