Meet Sedrick
Being born and raised in the City of Fort Lauderdale, FL, I didn’t grow up with a lot of money. I witnessed my mom as a single parent have to ride public transportation to work and pull off double shifts just to make ends meet to provide for her family. My mom was an extraordinary hard worker and had great faith in God, that she instilled in her 3 children. She lived her life by serving her church, family, and community with great love.

In my 22 years of life, growing up in the City of Fort Lauderdale, FL, this city hasn’t extended opportunities for everyday working families like mine who are less fortunate but yet continues to strive everyday, working long hours, just to barely get by.
As mayor, I will continue my commitment in working for advanced changes within our city that best meet the needs and expectations for the people of our city.
